Ok, enough calm moments, time for a bit of angst 😇 but don’t worry, everyone’s safe in the end, just a bit of a scare. I realize I never draw Corruption Chuuya often so let’s rectify that (please don’t mind that his pupils are drawn much larger than in canon when Corruption is activated 😅).
Exchange gift for @anticidic!! For the yokai and monster AUs enthusiast, I went with a ningyo-inspired mermaid AU!
The ningyo lore that held my attention most were people thinking their flesh granted longevity, and them being able to curse fishermen trying to catch/kill them with storms or alternatively being seen as a bad omen regarding weather-based disasters.
of course, Dazai is based on a blue mackerel 🐟
In my head, Dazai is jumping out of the water to pull Chuuya back into it with him and away from the threat, one hand on his wound and one hand on his nose and mouth so he doesn’t immediately drown.
